Chapter 1273: Gathering Information

The enormous serpent remained motionless for several seconds after crashing into the darkness. Her scales were scorched across large portions of her body, and deep wounds ran along her side where the fusion of Fire and Wind had torn through her defenses. Yet despite the damage, I could still feel her aura gathering again.

I narrowed my eyes.

She was not finished.

The serpent slowly lifted her enormous head, and a strange crimson light began spreading through her body. At first, I thought she was simply gathering more Force Origin, but then I noticed something different. Her blood was beginning to circulate at an abnormal rate, and the wounds covering her body started bleeding more heavily instead of closing.

She was sacrificing her own blood.

The crimson liquid rose from her body and gathered around her like a vast cloud. With every drop that left her body, her aura became stronger, and the pressure surrounding her continued increasing. Her enormous serpentine form gradually became covered in a layer of crimson light.

“You forced me to reveal this,” she said, her voice echoing through the isolated Space-Time region. “I had hoped I would never need to use the blood of my ancestors against another human.”

I remained silent.

The crimson cloud behind her suddenly began twisting.

Something was emerging.

The space behind the serpent cracked open, and an enormous serpentine silhouette slowly emerged from within the crimson light. It was not a physical creature, but a gigantic soul manifestation formed entirely from blood and ancestral energy. Its body was several times larger than hers, and its eyes glowed with an ancient crimson radiance that caused even the surrounding Space to tremble.

The woman’s aura surged.

“This is the Ancestral Soul.”

The gigantic serpent behind her opened its mouth.

A terrifying crimson beam began forming between its jaws.

I immediately understood that this attack was fundamentally different from everything she had used before. Her Force Origin was being combined with the sacrificed blood and the power of the Ancestral Soul, creating an attack that carried the strength of generations of beings connected to her bloodline.

The crimson beam erupted.

It was enormous.

The moment it appeared, the surrounding Space began collapsing toward it. Planetary debris caught within its path was instantly crushed into particles, while the void itself distorted violently around the beam.

I did not underestimate it.

My instincts were screaming that this attack could seriously injure even a Middle Demi-God if I allowed it to strike me directly.

I immediately released my Absolute Authority.

Fire Origin surged from my body, followed by Water.

The two opposing forces collided around me, but instead of rejecting one another, they began rotating together under my control. Fire became the destructive core while Water wrapped around it, providing stability and preventing the flames from dispersing. Then I added Space.

The moment Space entered the structure, everything changed.

The enormous amount of energy condensed.

The flames compressed.

The Water Origin stabilized the pressure.

Space folded the entire structure inward, forcing all three Origins into a single concentrated beam. A deep golden light surrounded my body as I extended one hand.

“Absolute Death Ray.”

The beam erupted from my palm.

The two attacks collided in the center of the isolated battlefield.

For an instant, neither side moved.

Then the Absolute Death Ray began pushing forward.

The crimson beam trembled as the combined power of Fire, Water, and Space tore through its structure. Fire consumed its destructive energy, Water neutralized its unstable fluctuations, and Space compressed the attack until the Ancestral Soul could no longer maintain its form.

The serpent’s eyes widened.

“No…”

The crimson beam shattered.

My attack continued forward.

The Absolute Death Ray passed through the remaining energy and struck her directly.

Her gigantic serpentine body convulsed as the beam tore through her defenses. Several enormous scales were destroyed instantly, and a massive wound appeared across her body. The ancestral manifestation behind her also began collapsing, its gigantic crimson form breaking apart into countless fragments of blood-colored energy.

The woman let out a furious roar as the connection between her and the Ancestral Soul finally broke.

Her gigantic serpentine body rapidly shrank.

The scales disappeared. The enormous head contracted.

Within moments, her true form vanished, leaving her once again in the appearance of a human woman.

But she was barely recognizable now.

Her clothes were torn, blood covered her body, and several deep injuries remained across her chest and abdomen. Her breathing was ragged, and her aura had fallen dramatically.

She still tried to gather her Force Origin. I did not give her the opportunity.

I raised my hand.

A different kind of power erupted around me.

Destruction Lightning.

Black and silver lightning gathered between my fingers before transforming into countless chains. They shot through the void and wrapped around her body, binding her arms, legs, and torso before tightening around her entire existence.

She struggled.

The chains responded by releasing waves of destructive lightning.

Her Force Origin immediately collapsed.

She stared at the chains in disbelief.

“What… are you?”

I walked toward her.

“That is the second time you have asked me that.”

I stopped a few meters away.

“And I still have no reason to answer.”

She gritted her teeth. “You think you can simply enter my territory , defeat me, and demand information?”

“No.”

I looked directly into her eyes.

“I know I can.”

Her expression became ugly.

I raised one finger, and the chains tightened slightly.

She immediately tried to resist, but the Destruction Lightning coursing through the chains disrupted her Origin every time she attempted to gather power.

“You are going to answer my questions,” I said calmly. “The only thing you get to decide is whether you answer them willingly or make this unnecessarily difficult for yourself.”

She laughed weakly despite her condition.

“You believe I will answer a human because you defeated me?”

“I do not need you to betray anyone.”

I crouched slightly so that I was closer to her eye level.

“I only need information.”

Her expression remained defiant.

“Tell me how many Demi-Gods exist in this universe.”

She remained silent.

I waited.

When she continued refusing, I released a controlled pulse through the chains. The Destruction Lightning did not tear her body apart. Instead, it attacked the flow of her Soul Force, making it impossible for her to gather enough strength to resist.

Her face tightened.

I watched her carefully.

“Let us start again.”

She stared at me for several seconds before finally speaking.

“You are asking for information that could lead to the destruction of this universe. Is the human race planning a rebellion?”

“Perhaps.”

“How many Demi-Gods do you think I will reveal?”

“All of them.”

Her eyes narrowed.

I continued before she could respond.

“I want their number, their realms, their Origins, and their locations. I want to know which of them are directly connected to the Eternals, which ones serve independently, and which ones can communicate with the Eternal Universe.”

Her expression changed slightly.

That reaction alone told me I was asking the right questions.

I noticed it immediately.

“You know something.”

She looked away.

I smiled.

“Good.”

I continued questioning her, carefully observing every change in her expression. I asked about the structure of this universe, the territories controlled by different Demi-Gods, the location of their gathering places, and whether there were any hidden passages connecting the Beast Universe to the Eternal territories.

Then I asked the question that mattered most.

“How exactly do your Demi-Gods cooperate with the Eternals?”

She remained silent for a long time.

Finally, she whispered, “We do not all cooperate with them.”

I raised an eyebrow.

“Explain.”

“The Eternals are our rulers,” she said reluctantly. “But not every Demi-God serves them directly. Some universes were conquered long ago and accepted vassal status because resistance was pointless. Others were promised resources, protection, or access to Origin treasures in exchange for their allegiance.”

That was useful.

I continued.

“And this universe?”

She hesitated. Then she looked at me.

“We are one of the older vassal universes.”

“How many Demi-Gods?”

Her expression hardened again.

“I cannot tell you everything.”

The chains tightened. She immediately corrected herself.

“There are more than you think.”

I smiled.

“That was not an answer.”

She closed her eyes briefly. Then she began speaking. Slowly at first. But once she realized that I already knew enough to expose inconsistencies, the information began coming faster.

Names.

Origins.

Realms.

Territories.

The locations of powerful beings.

The methods used to communicate with the Eternals. The regions where the Beast Universe stored resources. The places where Demi-Gods gathered.

The routes through which the Eternals could enter.

I listened to everything. I did not interrupt unnecessarily. Every piece of information was stored inside my mind.

The more she spoke, the clearer the structure of the Primordial Beast Universe became.
