Chapter 1272: Hunting

I did not have to wait long. After several moments, a powerful fluctuation appeared at the edge of my perception, and I immediately focused on it without revealing my presence. A woman was moving through the void at incredible speed, clearly following the trace of the aura I had deliberately released earlier.

She looked completely human, with no obvious beast characteristics, but the aura surrounding her was unmistakably that of a Demi-God. I remained hidden and simply watched as she arrived at the galaxy where I had released my aura, stopping in the middle of the void while her perception spread in every direction.

She was clearly trying to locate the source of the presence she had sensed, but I had already concealed myself completely. I did not attack her immediately because I wanted to know whether she had come alone.

While she searched, I carefully monitored the surrounding void, keeping track of every fluctuation within my perception. No other powerful presence approached, and after waiting long enough to make certain she had not brought reinforcements, I finally determined her strength. She was a Peak Low Demi-God.

That was enough.

I released my Authority.

The surrounding Space and Time instantly changed as my Right to Isolate descended upon her, separating the region around us from the rest of the universe.

A vast Space-Time barrier formed in an instant, cutting us away from the outside world and creating a battlefield that belonged entirely to me. The woman’s expression changed immediately, and she spun around, finally noticing my presence. I appeared several dozen meters away from her, standing calmly in the void as my Deep Golden Soul Force surrounded my body.

“Who are you?” she demanded, her eyes narrowing as she studied me. “Why did you release that aura and lure me here?”

“I have some questions,” I replied.

Her expression became colder. “You are in no position to ask questions.”

“I want to know where all the Demi-Gods in this universe are.”

For a moment, she simply stared at me as though she could not believe what she had heard. Then a faint sneer appeared on her face. “You enter my territory, deliberately expose your aura, isolate me from the surrounding universe, and then casually demand the location of every Demi-God here. Do you think I will simply answer you?”

“I was hoping you would.”

She narrowed her eyes. “You should leave while you still can. Whatever your purpose is, you have chosen the wrong person to threaten.”

“I am not threatening you.”

“Then what do you call this?”

She gestured toward the enormous Space-Time barrier surrounding us.

“A conversation.”

Her expression twitched.

“You are either extremely confident or extremely stupid.”

“Perhaps.”

She studied me more carefully.

“Give me your name and tell me which territory you belong to.”

“I asked first.”

“You really are irritating.”

Her eyes became increasingly hostile. “If you refuse to answer, I will consider you an enemy.”

I simply shrugged.

That finally broke her patience.

Her aura erupted.

The void around her suddenly twisted as an invisible force spread outward, and I immediately felt an enormous pressure pulling against my body. Space itself seemed to bend toward her as if an invisible gravitational well had suddenly appeared. The surrounding debris accelerated toward her, and even the fabric of Space distorted under the overwhelming attraction force.

So that was her Origin.

Force.

I released my own aura in response.

The moment my Deep Golden Soul Force erupted, she froze.

Her eyes widened.

“You are human?”

I smiled.

“Apparently.”

She stared at me in disbelief. “How is that possible? There are no human Demi-Gods in this region.”

“Then perhaps you should update your information.”

Her confusion deepened, but the force surrounding her continued intensifying. “You are a human from this universe?”

I did not answer.

She apparently took my silence as confirmation.

Her expression became even more complicated. “Impossible. Humans cannot reach the Demi-God realm here.”

“Yet here I am.”

The attraction force suddenly intensified.

The entire region around me collapsed inward as countless fragments of celestial debris were dragged toward her. I raised one hand and used Space to resist the force, creating a stable region around my body. The invisible pressure struck my spatial barrier repeatedly, but it failed to move me even a single step.

Her eyes narrowed.

“You are not a Low Demi-God.”

I smiled faintly.

She finally understood.

“You are a Middle Demi-God.”

The surprise in her voice was unmistakable.

Before I could respond, her body suddenly began transforming. The human appearance that had concealed her true nature dissolved, and an enormous serpentine body emerged from within her.

Her figure expanded rapidly until she became a gigantic serpent stretching across the void, her scales shimmering with strange silver-black light while countless gravitational fluctuations twisted around her body. Her head alone was larger than a planet, and the pressure released by her transformation caused the surrounding Space to tremble violently.

“I suppose I should stop holding back,” she said, her enormous voice echoing through the isolated Space-Time region.

She opened her jaws.

The attraction force exploded.

This time, the force was powerful enough to drag entire fragments of planets toward her mouth, crushing them into streams of matter before they disappeared into the darkness within her body. The gravitational pull spread toward me from every direction, attempting to crush my body through sheer force.

I raised my hand.

Fire Origin erupted.

Wind Origin immediately joined it.

The two Origins intertwined beneath my Absolute Authority, and the surrounding void suddenly transformed into a gigantic spiraling inferno. Wind accelerated the flames to terrifying speeds, turning them into countless rotating blades of fire that wrapped around one another before forming a massive fiery tornado.

I pushed my hand forward.

The tornado collided with her attraction force.

For an instant, the two forces struggled against each other, but the combination of Fire and Wind rapidly gained momentum. The flames began drilling through the gravitational field while the rotating Wind Origin amplified their destructive power, allowing the attack to penetrate deeper and deeper into her enormous body.

The serpent roared.

The sound shook the entire isolated region.

The fiery tornado tore through her scales and ripped open enormous wounds across her body. Blackened blood poured into the void as her gigantic body was thrown backward, and several pieces of her scales were completely burned away.

She crashed into the distant darkness, her enormous serpentine body curling instinctively around the wounds as she stared at me in disbelief.

I slowly lowered my hand.

Her aura had weakened considerably.

The first serious exchange had already injured her heavily.

And now she finally understood that the human standing before her was not an ordinary Demi-God who had accidentally wandered into the Beast Universe.

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
