Chapter 1269: Nine Hell Revenge Formation

Aurora was quiet for a moment after hearing my question. She looked at me, then toward Amun, and there was a strange expression in her eyes, almost as if she had been expecting me to ask this sooner or later. Finally, she let out a soft sigh and shook her head.

“You really are curious about everything, aren’t you?”

I smiled. “If something doesn’t make sense, I prefer to understand it rather than pretend it does.”

“That is exactly why you should hear this from Amun himself,” she replied, glancing toward him. “There are some things about this war that even we have kept hidden from you.”

Amun chuckled when he heard that.

“I suppose there is no point hiding it anymore.”

He stepped forward and stretched both hands slightly, his expression becoming unusually relaxed. “Besides, after what you have just accomplished, I think you have earned the right to know.”

The moment his hands rose, the atmosphere around us changed.

I felt it before I saw anything.

A strange fluctuation passed through the void behind Amun, followed by a faint metallic sound that seemed completely out of place in the silent battlefield. Then a single crimson chain emerged from his back and disappeared into the darkness behind him.

Another followed.

Then another.

Within moments, the number increased so rapidly that I could no longer count them. Thousands of crimson chains emerged from Amun’s body, and then thousands became millions. They spread in every direction behind him, filling the void like an enormous web before extending farther and farther away.

My eyes narrowed.

Those chains were not stopping anywhere near us. They were going far beyond the battlefield.

Far beyond the Prime Galaxy.

I immediately extended my perception and followed one of them.

My vision tore through layers of Space as the chain continued forward at an astonishing distance. Stars passed beneath my perception, followed by entire star systems, until finally I saw something so enormous that even I momentarily forgot to breathe.

A galaxy.

A massive crimson chain was wrapped around it.

I followed another chain.

Another galaxy.

Then another.

My expression slowly changed.

One galaxy became two.

Two became three.

I continued following the chains, and the farther my perception traveled, the more unbelievable the sight became. By the time I reached the ninth, I was completely silent.

Nine enormous galaxies were bound by Amun’s crimson chains.

The chains wrapped around them from every direction, passing through the vastness of Space and connecting stars, planets, and countless celestial structures into one gigantic formation. The sheer scale of it was difficult to comprehend. Each galaxy contained countless stars and innumerable worlds, and each world was filled with life.

Yet all nine galaxies had been turned into part of a single formation.

I slowly withdrew my perception and looked at Amun.

“What…”

I paused, still trying to process what I had seen.

“What is this?”

Amun looked at me for a moment before a grin slowly spread across his face.

It was not his usual calm smile.

There was something almost mischievous about it, and the more I looked at him, the more I felt that he was enjoying the fact that he had finally managed to surprise me.

“This,” he said, gesturing toward the distant galaxies, “is the reason Theras has not launched an all-out attack against us.”

He lifted one finger. The crimson chains trembled.

The entire formation seemed to respond to that tiny movement, and I could suddenly feel an enormous amount of energy moving through the distant galaxies.

Amun’s grin widened.

“I prepared it specifically for him.”

“I call it the Nine Hell Revenge Formation.”

I stared at him.

“That is… quite a name.”

“I thought so too.”

For someone who was supposedly one of the oldest and most powerful beings in the Prime Universe, Amun certainly had a strange amount of pride in naming his formation.

But his expression gradually became serious again.

“The name is not important,” he said. “What matters is what the formation can do.”

I looked toward the nine galaxies once more.

Amun followed my gaze.

“My own strength as a High Demi-God is only one part of the formation. The nine galaxies are the other.”

His voice became quieter.

“I have spent countless years preparing those galaxies. The formation is connected to everything within them. Their stars, their planets, their natural energy, and even the lives that exist within them have become part of its structure.”

My expression hardened.

I immediately understood where this was going.

Amun continued.

“If Theras enters the Prime Universe and I activate the formation, those nine galaxies will be sacrificed.”

Aurora’s expression became slightly more solemn, though she did not interrupt.

“The stars will burn themselves out. The worlds will collapse. Every source of energy within those galaxies will be extracted, and every living being connected to the formation will have their existence converted into fuel.”

I stared at him.

“You prepared all of that just for Theras?”

Amun’s grin returned, but there was no humor in it now.

“I prepared it because I know exactly how dangerous he is.”

He looked toward the distant darkness where the nine galaxies were hidden.

“Theras is stronger than me. If he enters this universe personally, I cannot guarantee that I can defeat him in a direct battle.”

He paused.

“But I don’t need to.”

His crimson chains suddenly glowed.

“With the strength of a High Demi-God, the sacrifice of nine entire galaxies, and the countless lives contained within them, the formation can temporarily push my Authority beyond its normal limits.”

The surrounding void seemed to grow heavier. I could feel the seriousness in his voice now.

“All that energy will be compressed into a single attack.”

He looked directly into my eyes.

“Not an attack meant to injure Theras.”

His smile disappeared completely.

“An attack meant to erase him.”

I remained silent.

Amun slowly raised his hand, and one of the distant galaxies trembled beneath the countless crimson chains wrapped around it.

“If Theras enters the Prime Universe and I activate the Nine Hell Revenge Formation, the attack will not simply strike his body. It will follow his existence through Space and Time.”

His eyes became cold.

“His past, his present, and the future he has yet to reach will all be dragged into the same attack.”

I felt a chill run through me.

“Across Space and Time…”

Amun nodded.

“Exactly.”

He lowered his hand.

“That is why Theras has never dared to launch an all-out attack.”

I looked again at the nine galaxies. Only now did I understand the strange balance that had existed between the two sides.

The Eternals possessed greater numbers. They possessed more Demi-Gods. They possessed Theras.

But Theras could not simply descend upon the Prime Universe without accepting the possibility that Amun would sacrifice nine entire galaxies to drag him into death.

Amun gave a quiet laugh.

“So whenever Theras considers attacking us with his full strength, he has to ask himself one very simple question.”

He spread his hands.

“Is the Prime Universe worth dying for?”

Aurora glanced at him.

“You make it sound like you are eager for him to try.”

Amun’s grin returned.

“I spent all those years preparing this thing. Of course I want to see whether it works.”

Aurora rolled her eyes. Amun looked toward the distant galaxies, and for the first time, there was no humor in his expression.

“But until Theras decides to gamble his life, the Nine Hell Revenge Formation remains exactly what it was designed to be.”

He looked back at me.

“A warning.”

The formation was undeniably terrifying, but it was also an incredibly clever preparation. If Theras truly possessed enough strength to overwhelm Amun in a direct battle, then creating a method that could turn the entire Prime Universe into a trap for him was probably the only reason our side had been able to maintain this balance for so long.

“That is a good plan,” I finally said, turning back toward Amun. “As long as Theras believes he can be dragged into that formation and erased, he cannot simply throw everything he has at the Prime Universe. It gives us something extremely valuable.”

“Time,” Aurora said quietly.

I nodded. “Exactly. And I intend to use that time.”

Amun raised an eyebrow. “For what?”

“To become stronger.”

I looked toward the endless void beyond the Prime Universe.

“My current strength is still not enough. I have reached the Middle Demi-God realm, but I need to reach the High Demi-God realm as quickly as possible. Waiting here and slowly comprehending my Origins will take too long, so I have decided to leave the Prime Universe.”

Aurora’s expression changed immediately.

“Leave?”

“I am going to hunt the vassal universes.”

Both of them stared at me.

Amun’s smile disappeared completely. “Absolutely not.”

Aurora stepped forward, her expression unusually serious. “Billion, do you understand what you are saying? Those universes belong to the Eternals. If they discover that you are hunting their Demi-Gods, you will be surrounded by their forces before you even realize what happened.”

Amun nodded. “You survived because the battlefield here is controlled and because we know where the enemy is. Outside the Prime Universe, you will be entering their territory.”

I smiled calmly.

“That is exactly why I need to go.”
