Chapter 1953: A Week Passed By!

A week wasn’t much time.

For ordinary people, seven days might feel like enough to rest, think, prepare, and slowly settle into a new environment.

But for someone like Max, who’d just stepped into the heart of the Evercrest Clan, learned the deeper secret behind the Four Sacred Clans, sensed a mysterious reaction from the statue of the First Progenitor, and was about to represent Rose in the Bloodline Legacy Battle, one week went by almost too fast.

Inside the Dimension of Time, though, that week stretched out much longer.

Max spent most of it cultivating, stabilizing, and training.

The Tier 4 Primordial Bloodline had fully settled into his body during this stretch.

At first, its presence had felt like a sleeping ancient ocean inside his blood, calm on the surface but unbelievably heavy underneath. Whenever he circulated his power, the bloodline responded with quiet authority, shaping his body, soul, laws, and even his Pseudo Cosmic Paths.

It didn’t clash with his other bloodlines as much as he’d expected. Instead, it seemed to settle at the very top of his foundation, like a supreme framework that could hold everything else together.

By the end of the week, Max had grown fully used to it. His body no longer felt strange when the Primordial Bloodline stirred. His laws no longer trembled when primordial energy flowed through them.

Even his Emotion Severing Path, Divine King Punishment, and Devouring Flames Domain had adapted to the new foundation.

They were still Pseudo Cosmic Paths, still unable to become true Cosmic Paths before the Divine Lord Realm, but they now carried a faint primordial quality that made them deeper and harder to shake loose.

His cultivation rose again too. The breakthrough didn’t come as violently as the jump from the 1st to the 5th level of the Law Refinement Realm, which had been forced along by the leftover integration energy of the Tier 4 Primordial Bloodline.

This time, Max advanced through steady accumulation. He used the Dimension of Time to refine his laws, stabilize the new bloodline, digest the energy still sitting in his body, and keep polishing his foundation until the next small barrier loosened on its own.

On the sixth day by the outer world’s count, that barrier broke.

[Breakthrough Achieved.]

[Law Refinement Realm 6th Level.]

Max opened his eyes inside the Dimension of Time and felt the change settle in quietly. His aura hadn’t turned wildly unstable. It had simply grown deeper. The laws flowing around him were more condensed than before, and every movement of his power felt smoother.

The Tier 4 Primordial Bloodline circulated more naturally too, no longer like something newly acquired, but like something that had always belonged inside him.

Max didn’t spend the whole week only on cultivation, though. He kept thinking through his battle with Revona too.

Again and again, he replayed the moment Null Origin Tide had stripped his powers away. Again and again, he tested sword structures built to shift their source, hide their foundation, and survive nullification by refusing to stay fixed.

Many attempts failed. Some collapsed instantly. Some turned unstable. Some worked for a moment but lacked real power. Still, every failure taught him something.

By the time the seventh day came, Max hadn’t built a perfect counter to Revona’s Void Origin Eyes, but he’d taken the first real step.

A new sword concept was starting to take shape in his mind. A sword with a layered source. A sword with a shifting foundation. A sword that didn’t fight nullification through raw power alone, but through deception, shifting origin, and momentary truth.

It wasn’t finished yet. But it existed. That was enough for now.

On the seventh day, Max stepped out of the Dimension of Time.

The quiet room prepared for him inside the Evercrest Clan came back into view. The silver spatial runes on the walls glowed faintly, and the training chamber behind him slowly closed.

The magical pond outside rippled beneath the morning wind, while emerald light filtered through the leaves of the massive ancient tree holding up the courtyard.

Rose was already waiting for him. She stood near the entrance of the courtyard, wearing a formal green and silver robe, different from the pale dress she’d worn before.

Her long hair was tied back with an emerald ribbon, and a thin jade ornament hung at her waist, marked with the Evercrest Clan’s insignia. She looked more elegant and dignified than before, but Max could sense the tension hidden beneath her calm face.

The moment she saw him, her eyes sharpened slightly.

“You got stronger again.”

Max walked toward her. “A little.”

Rose stared at him for a breath. Then she smiled faintly.

“Only you would call reaching the 6th level of the Law Refinement Realm in one week ‘a little.’”

Max didn’t deny it.

Rose looked at him more closely, and her expression turned a bit more serious. “Your aura’s different too. The Primordial Bloodline has fully settled?”

“Yes.”

“Good,” Rose said. “The Bloodline Legacy Battle starts today. The people from the Four Sacred Clans have already gathered.”

Max nodded. “Then let’s go.”

Rose turned without wasting any more words. The space at the edge of the courtyard opened, forming a path of emerald and silver light. She stepped into it first, and Max followed.

This time, Rose didn’t lead him deeper into the Evercrest Clan. Instead, she took him away from the main sacred territory. The two of them passed through several folded spatial layers, crossed hidden bridges of light, and moved through passages that seemed to curve around the outside of the clan’s core world.

Gradually, the elegant palaces and enormous ancient trees faded behind them. The atmosphere shifted from peaceful and sacred to solemn and ancient.

After a while, the spatial passage opened. Max and Rose stepped out.

Before them stood an arena. It was enormous. Calling it an arena almost felt like an understatement, since it was large enough to hold several cities. The whole structure floated inside a separate spatial field, surrounded by six vast platforms arranged in a grand hexagon.

Each platform was built like its own world facing the central battlefield below. The ground of the battlefield was carved with countless old runes, many so ancient that even Max couldn’t immediately tell what they were for.
