Summary
The Li Clan of Bailang County has been declining for generations. Three hundred years ago, their ancestors rose from ordinary hunters to become a cultivation family, but time has worn away that glory. With no one able to break beyond Foundation Establishment, the clan survives more on its heritage than its strength.
Li Zhirui never expected to become part of that story.
After arriving in this world with memories from another life, he finds himself as a ninth-generation descendant of the Li Clan. His talent is ordinary, his spiritual roots are nothing special, and nothing about him suggests he will become a legendary cultivator. Even so, he steadily advances along the path of cultivation and eventually contracts Da Qing, a spirit turtle with considerable potential.
What Zhirui keeps to himself is a small space unlike anything found in the outside world. Spiritual herbs grow with astonishing speed there, turning an otherwise unremarkable cultivator into someone capable of changing far more than his own fate.
Then the clan is forced to flee.
The Li Clan’s troubles begin when the White Jade Sect gains a Nascent Soul cultivator. Knowing they cannot compete, the clan leaves its homeland and moves to East Lake.
Forced to rebuild from scratch, the family faces constant shortages, outside threats, and internal challenges. Amid the struggle, Li Zhirui quietly develops his cultivation, nurtures spirit beasts, and searches for a way to strengthen both himself and the clan.
