Summary
In the Huarong Realm, people rarely talk about fate as if it were some distant idea. Not because they doubt it, but because they see it play out too often. Someone might rise to prominence overnight for reasons no one understands, while another person simply vanishes, leaving behind no explanation at all. On the Nine Provinces Continent, fate doesn’t ask for permission. It simply happens.
The world itself is enormous. Most of it is ocean, still largely unmapped, while the land is divided into nine vast provinces—Qingzhou, Jingzhou, Yangzhou, Binzhou, Xuanzhou, Yunzhou, Huazhou, Youzhou, and Jizhou. Each province is so large that even cultivators can spend years traveling through just one of them. Ordinary people rarely leave their hometowns. Every region has its own dangers, climates, and old stories, and stepping into unfamiliar territory can easily turn into a life-and-death gamble.
Humans are the most numerous race, but numbers alone don’t mean much in a cultivation world. True cultivators are uncommon, and many people live their entire lives without awakening Spiritual Roots. Beyond human lands, the threats are far worse. Ancient forests west of Qingzhou and Jizhou belong to the Demon Race, creatures that have existed for millions of years. They live longer, possess terrifying physical strength, and carry powerful bloodlines. When beast tides spill out from those forests, entire towns can disappear before anyone even understands what happened.
Far to the north, the Barbarian Race roams across deserts and plains. They carry traits of both humans and demons, combining strength with cunning in a way that makes them difficult to predict. Large wars between races are rare, but the tension never truly disappears.
Within this harsh world lives Lin Tianming of the Lin Family, a small cultivating clan settled on Green Bamboo Mountain in Qingzhou.
The Lin Family once had its share of prestige, but time has worn most of that away. Resources are scarce, and every cultivation material is treated with care. Spirit Stones are counted carefully, and even a single Lingshen Pill—something that can shorten weeks of hard training—holds real value.
Lin Tianming is sixteen and still in the Qi Refinement Realm, slowly approaching the fifth level. His Dual Spiritual Roots of wood and fire give him decent potential, but nothing that would normally make him stand out.
Yet there is something unusual about him.
Opportunities seem to find Lin Tianming without effort. A forgotten cultivation manual appears where no one thought to look. Rare herbs grow quietly in places others overlook. Old relics thought lost somehow end up in his hands. Even encounters with mythical beasts seem to happen by chance.
At first, his clan treats it as coincidence. Then it happens again. And again.
Before long, the family’s storage vault begins filling with spiritual herbs, materials, and treasures. Eventually the elders send word asking him to slow down—there simply isn’t enough space left.
Lin Tianming finds the situation a little ridiculous. He isn’t hunting for fortune. He just keeps walking his path, and somehow valuable things appear along the way.
Still, luck doesn’t make the cultivation world any kinder. Treasures attract greed, and powerful cultivators have killed for far less. Beyond human lands, there are beings far older and far more dangerous than most people realize.
Even so, Lin Tianming continues forward. With every opportunity he finds, his family slowly regains strength, and the once-fading immortal cultivator clan begins to rise again.
Whether his fortune is truly a blessing from the heavens—or something stranger altogether—no one can say.
But if things continue this way, the Lin Family may soon become impossible for the Nine Provinces to ignore.
