Most people would describe Ye Feng as forgettable.
He attends university, worries about expenses more often than he’d like, and spends his time juggling classes with part-time work. There is nothing particularly remarkable about him, which is exactly why nobody pays much attention when strange things begin happening.
It starts with a conversation.
Someone casually mentions a skill, a profession, or a field of expertise, and Ye Feng suddenly finds himself understanding things he definitely should not understand. At first he assumes it is luck. Then it happens again. And again.
Before long, situations that once left him completely lost become surprisingly straightforward.
A subject he has never studied feels familiar. A problem that should require years of experience suddenly looks obvious. The more knowledge he comes into contact with, the stranger his situation becomes.
Naturally, keeping something like that hidden is easier said than done.
University life continues as normal on the surface. There are classes to attend, friends to deal with, and the usual headaches that come with becoming an adult. Yet Ye Feng keeps finding himself pulled into matters that have nothing to do with ordinary student life. Sometimes it starts with curiosity. Sometimes it starts because someone asks for help. Either way, simple situations rarely stay simple for long.
The ability itself is not particularly helpful when it comes to explaining things.
People tend to ask questions when a student suddenly displays expertise in subjects he had no business knowing the week before. Ye Feng quickly learns that solving a problem is often easier than explaining how he solved it.
Meanwhile, the number of things he knows continues growing.
One skill leads to another, then another after that, until even Ye Feng starts wondering where the limit actually is. The answer never seems to arrive.
For now, he is still the same university student everyone remembers.
At least that is what most people think.
Whether Ye Feng can continue living an ordinary life while carrying an increasingly extraordinary secret is a different question altogether, and one that becomes harder to ignore with every passing day.
