Chapter 1170: Dream Astral

Viserys immediately followed with a sweeping kick, but I blocked it with my forearm and used the opening to drive my fist toward her abdomen. She twisted at the last moment, allowing my punch to graze her side rather than land cleanly.

Before I could follow up, black Soul Force gathered in her hand and condensed into a long blade. She swung it toward me, and I responded by forming a weapon of my own from condensed Soul Force.

Our blades collided with enough force to send a metallic resonance across the battlefield, despite being formed entirely from energy.

We exchanged attacks at a speed that most of the surviving Saints could no longer follow, teleporting between positions as our movements tore through the surrounding space. One moment we were fighting above the battlefield, and the next we were crashing into the ground hundreds of meters away, leaving fresh craters wherever our clashes forced us downward.

Viserys eventually caught my wrist during one of our exchanges. Her other hand immediately moved toward my chest, black Soul Force gathering around her palm with an ominous density.

I responded by invoking the Major Law of Blood, reaching directly into the blood circulating through her body.

For the briefest instant, her movement faltered as my control disrupted her control. That tiny opening was enough. I tore my wrist free and drove my knee into her abdomen, sending her flying backward through the air.

Before she could stabilize herself, I raised my hand and activated the Major Law of Consumption. The Soul Force surrounding her began flowing toward me, drawn into the devouring authority of my Law.

Viserys’s expression hardened immediately. She responded with a violent surge of Soul Force that overwhelmed the pull and forced me several steps backward through the air.

At that exact moment, the enormous black palm that had been trapped within my spacetime barriers finally broke through. My Major Law of Bounded Reality fractured beneath its pressure, and the temporal restrictions I had placed around it collapsed one after another.

The gigantic hand surged forward, its countless screaming faces staring down at the battlefield as it forced its way toward us.

I glanced toward it before turning back to Viserys.

She was already charging toward me.

A smile slowly appeared on my face.

“So you want to fight on two fronts.”

Her black eyes narrowed, and the faintest smile touched her lips.

“It appears you do as well.”

We disappeared at the same instant.

I willed and Right to Anchor was activated directly locking the palm where it was and stopping its charge. In the next instant a single rune appeared on the tablet.

“Erase.”

A large chunk of my soul force disappeared and in the next instant the black palm exploded along with the souls inside it. The spilling soul force instantly devoured my domain.

Viserys’s expression changed.

The faint amusement that had remained on her face throughout our exchange disappeared completely, replaced by an anger so cold that it seemed to make the surrounding darkness heavier.

The black ocean behind her began to churn violently, and I immediately sensed something different within it. The countless souls submerged in that darkness were being gathered together again, their Soul Force being violently extracted from the depths and compressed into a single point.

Millions of souls.

I could feel them.

Their screams echoed through my perception as their accumulated power was forcibly drawn toward Viserys. The black ocean surged upward, and an enormous spear slowly emerged from its depths.

It was unlike anything she had manifested before.

The weapon was pitch black, darker than the surrounding darkness itself, with crimson lines running across its surface like veins filled with blood. The pressure radiating from it was so immense that the space around its tip began collapsing before it had even been launched.

Viserys gripped the spear with one hand.

“You have tested my patience enough.”

She drew her arm backward.

The entire Soul Sanctuary trembled.

Then she threw it.

The spear disappeared.

My instincts screamed.

I could tell immediately that defending against it normally would be impossible. Its destructive force had already surpassed what I could withstand through ordinary Saint-level defenses, and even my Domain was struggling to suppress the authority contained within the weapon.

There was no time to hesitate.

I activated the third Node.

The Node embedded along my spine opened.

Soul Force erupted through my body with explosive intensity.

The transformation was immediate. My existence was already composed primarily of Soul Force, and the Node’s activation allowed that energy to circulate through every part of me without the restrictions that had existed when my body had still been primarily physical.

My power surged.

Once.

Twice.

Then almost threefold.

The surrounding space warped around my body as an overwhelming pressure erupted from me. I clenched my fist and drew my arm backward.

The black spear arrived.

I punched.

“Absolute Destruction.”

My fist and the spear collided.

For a moment, everything disappeared beneath the impact.

A gigantic shockwave erupted from the point of collision, tearing apart the surrounding space and sending fragments of both Soul Force and darkness across the battlefield. My arm was immediately torn open by the spear’s remaining force, while Viserys’s weapon shattered from the center before the backlash reached her.

The impact threw both of us backward.

I crashed into the ground hard enough to create another crater, while Viserys was sent flying through the air before striking the opposite side of the battlefield. Her black gown was torn in several places, and blood appeared at the corner of her mouth.

For several seconds, neither of us moved.

Then I sensed something else.

A different kind of power.

My eyes immediately shifted toward Dream.

He was standing several dozen meters away from the other Saints, his expression completely different from what I had seen throughout our journey. There was no shock on his face. No concern for Viserys. No concern for me.

Only calculation.

His hand moved toward his robes.

He pulled out a small cube.

It was roughly the size of a fist, its surface divided between crimson and black, with countless intricate markings moving beneath its surface. The moment it appeared, the All-Knowing Eyes inside me reacted.

The exact same sensation I had felt whenever I had attempted to ask about Dream.

My expression hardened.

Dream raised the cube.

“Activate.”

The artifact responded instantly.

“Eternal Seal: Blood Binding.”

The cube exploded with crimson-black radiance.

Chains materialized around me.

They weren’t ordinary chains. Each link appeared to have been forged from condensed laws, and the moment they wrapped around my body, I felt their authority sink directly into my existence.

At the same time, another set of chains shot toward Viserys.

She reacted immediately, but the chains were already upon her.

They wrapped around her arms, legs, torso and neck before tightening simultaneously.

Then a gigantic crimson barrier descended around the two of us.

A dome.

The moment it closed, I felt my entire existence being suppressed.

My Soul Force slowed.

My laws became sluggish.

Even my life force was being bound.

The chains weren’t simply restricting movement.

They were binding the very foundation of existence.

Outside the crimson dome, Sue stared at Dream in disbelief.

Her clock-like eyes accelerated violently.

“Dream…”

Her voice carried genuine shock.

“What are you doing?”

Creation is hard, cheer me up!
