Chapter 1965: Blood of traitor!

Max slowly stood up straight. The starry light around his fist hadn’t disappeared. It kept flowing faintly, and every pulse from it made the abandoned end brighter. His gaze swept across the leaders of the Four Sacred Clans, and his mind raced.

‘Traitor’s bloodline?’

He’d expected a reaction. He’d expected the statue to reveal something. He hadn’t expected the Four Sacred Clans to recognize him as the descendant of something they called a traitor.

The Evercrest patriarch’s voice turned colder. “No outsider could awaken the abandoned end. No outsider could make the First Progenitor statue glow like this. No outsider could suppress the bloodlines of the Four Sacred Clans through that cursed star power.”

The Ravenhart matriarch said softly, “He’s using the stolen legacy to suppress us. So it was true after all. The Voidwalker really did steal the true legacy and betray us.”

The Ashbourne leader took one step forward, and the entire Ashbourne end shook beneath him. “I told you this many times, and it was true. There’s no need to keep going with the Bloodline Legacy Battle.”

Rose’s expression changed. “Wait!”

No one listened to her.

The Valerius leader raised his hand. “Seal the arena.”

The moment his command fell, the ancient formations around the entire battlefield activated at full power. Golden chains rose from the Valerius end. Crimson-black chains erupted from Ashbourne.

Purple shadow chains extended from Ravenhart. Green-silver spatial chains surged from Evercrest. All four sacred clan ends released their authority at once, and the chains shot toward the central battlefield like divine serpents.

Their target was Max.

Angelina’s face changed slightly. “Elders, this is still the Bloodline Legacy Battle.”

The Valerius leader said coldly, “This is no longer a matter of the battle.”

The Evercrest patriarch’s voice followed. “A descendant of the traitor’s bloodline has appeared in the First Progenitor Arena. He must be imprisoned immediately.”

Max’s eyes turned cold. “So that’s your decision?”

The Ashbourne leader sneered. “You dare to awaken that abandoned end and still ask about our decision? Do you even know whose bloodline you’re carrying?”

Max’s eyes narrowed at that question, but he didn’t need to think it over.

The chains descended. Max sensed right away how powerful they were. These weren’t ordinary sealing chains. They were formed from the combined bloodline authority of the Four Sacred Clans and empowered by the arena itself.

If they caught him, even his current strength might get heavily suppressed, especially with the First Progenitor Arena acting as the foundation.

The first golden chain reached him. Max raised his hand and struck it with his star-like fist.

Boom!

The chain trembled violently and cracked halfway, but it didn’t break completely. The crimson-black chain from Ashbourne wrapped around from the side, carrying brutal bloodline force.

The purple chain from Ravenhart vanished into shadow and appeared behind his back. The Evercrest chain folded through space and tried to bind his legs.

Max’s Dimensional Sovereign Body activated. His Primordial Bloodline stirred. The five Divine Veins inside him opened in rapid succession.

The Vein of Origin. The Vein of Vitality. The Vein of Speed. The Vein of Strength. The Vein of Resilience.

His body erupted with terrifying power, and the Tier 4 Primordial Bloodline multiplied his strength tenfold again. For a moment, the air around him twisted under the combined force of Primordial authority, Divine Veins, and the Dimensional Keeper legacy.

Yet the four chains were still dangerous. They weren’t coming from young geniuses. They were coming from the leaders and formations of the Four Sacred Clans.

Max moved. The Vein of Speed pushed him out of the first sealing layer, while his Dimensional Sovereign Body tore open a gap in the folded space. The Evercrest chain chased him through the gap. Max turned, Dragonheart appearing in his hand again, and slashed down with the Emotion Severing Path.

The green-silver chain got cut apart from its spatial anchor. But before it could fully collapse, the Ravenhart shadow chain struck his back. The Vein of Resilience flared. The chain failed to pierce him, but its shadow force still wrapped around his aura and tried to pull his soul into stillness.

Max’s eyes sharpened. His Dimension of Soul opened faintly inside him, swallowing the soul-stilling force before it could settle.

The arena erupted into chaos. The crowd scattered backward as the sealing pressure spread. Many younger descendants couldn’t even stand. Some elders hurriedly shielded their clan members, while others stared at Max in shock.

“He resisted the four-clan seal!”

“How is that possible?”

“He’s only at the Law Refinement Realm!”

“That fist, that starry power, and his body, what kind of monster is he?”

Rose tried to rush forward, but several Evercrest elders appeared in front of her and blocked her path.

“Move!” Rose shouted.

One elder looked at her coldly. “Rose Evercrest, you brought him here.”

Her face went pale.

The elder’s voice grew heavier. “If he truly carries the traitor’s bloodline, then you’ve committed a serious offense.”

Rose clenched her fists. “I didn’t know.”

“Then pray that ignorance is enough to save you.”

On the battlefield, Max glanced toward Rose for a brief instant and saw what was happening around her. His gaze turned colder.

The Valerius leader’s voice rang out again.

“Max Morgan, you carry the bloodline of the traitors. You are a Voidwalker. Do not resist. The Four Sacred Clans will investigate your origin. If you’re innocent, you’ll be given an explanation.”

Max laughed. It wasn’t loud, but it carried clearly across the battlefield.

“Innocent?”

His grip on Dragonheart tightened.

“You call me the descendant of a traitor’s bloodline, try to imprison me in front of everyone, and then talk about innocence?”

The Ashbourne leader’s eyes burned with dark killing intent. “You are not qualified to argue.”

Max’s smile disappeared. The Dimensional Keeper legacy around his fist grew brighter. The abandoned end of the arena pulsed again in response, and the pressure suppressing the Four Sacred Clans grew even heavier.

Several elders’ faces changed as they realized that the more they tried to seal Max, the more the abandoned end woke up.

The statue of the First Progenitor glowed brighter. Its closed eyes trembled. A deep, ancient voice seemed to echo faintly from beneath the arena, too unclear to make out, but powerful enough to make every forbidden bloodline in the arena shake.

Max looked at the leaders of the Four Sacred Clans. His expression settled back into calm. But this calm ran far colder than before.

“I came here to repay a promise,” he said. “I didn’t come here to be chained.”

The golden, crimson-black, purple, and green-silver chains attacked again, this time with even greater force.

Max raised Dragonheart in one hand and kept the star-like fist clenched in the other. His white hair moved in the storm of bloodline pressure.

“If you want to imprison me,” Max said, his voice cutting through the entire arena, “then you’d better be ready to pay the price.”

He finally understood why Freya had told him to never reveal his Voidwalker name. It turned out Voidwalker was tied to the Four Sacred Clans. And from the looks of things, Voidwalker had done something pretty ugly to the other four.
