Chapter 1955: Strongest Warriors of the Four Sacred Clans!

Max stood beside Rose on the lower waiting platform beneath the Evercrest end and looked out over the vast arena.

The Bloodline Legacy Battle hadn’t officially started yet, but the pressure from the gathered crowd was already heavy. The Four Sacred Clans didn’t carry the same public noise as the Cosmic Ascension Conference.

Their atmosphere felt different. There were fewer outsiders, fewer excited spectators, and no grand proclamations meant for the whole Divine Realm. Still, the feeling here ran sharper, older, and more suffocating, since everyone present came from bloodlines that had stood at the top of humanity since the earliest eras.

Valerius. Ashbourne. Ravenhart. Evercrest.

Each clan held one end of the arena, and each end carried a completely different aura.

The Valerius platform shone with white-gold brilliance, as if every disciple there had been born beneath a sacred sun.

The Ashbourne platform felt like a silent battlefield soaked in old blood and iron will.

The Ravenhart platform was mysterious and elegant, filled with shadowed gazes and faint purple light.

The Evercrest platform was layered with life, space, and sealed domains, beautiful on the surface but hard to see through.

Max’s gaze moved calmly across those platforms.

Then he asked, “Who are the strongest participants?”

Rose seemed to have expected the question. She stood beside him with her hands folded in front of her, her expression composed, though the tension in her eyes hadn’t fully faded.

This arena was full of people who’d once treated her like a discarded descendant. Even without showing weakness, coming back here clearly weighed on her.

“There are a few people you need to watch closely,” Rose said. “The Bloodline Legacy Battle isn’t like an ordinary tournament where everyone fights randomly until one champion comes out on top. The structure changes depending on the number of challengers, representatives, and legacy claims. But the strongest geniuses of the Four Sacred Clans will definitely show up, and if you want to gather enough legacy merit for me, you’ll probably have to beat some of them.”

Max nodded. “Tell me.”

Rose looked toward the Valerius end first.

“The strongest genius of Valerius this generation is Cassian Valerius.”

Max followed her gaze.

At the highest row of the Valerius platform, a young man sat with his eyes closed. He wore a white-gold robe embroidered with sun patterns, and even sitting still, he looked wrapped in a faint halo of sacred light.

His hair was golden-white, his posture straight, and the aura around him didn’t spread out wildly. It stayed condensed close to his body, which only made him seem more dangerous.

Rose’s voice turned serious. “Cassian is known as the Sun-Crowned Heir of Valerius. He awakened the Valerius branch of the forbidden bloodline very young, and his control over sacred solar law is terrifying. Among the younger generation of the Four Sacred Clans, he’s considered one of the most stable and complete fighters. He doesn’t have any obvious weaknesses, and his attacks only get stronger the longer a battle drags on.”

“What cultivation level?” Max asked.

“Peak of the Law Manifestation Realm.”

Max didn’t look surprised.

Rose continued, “Most of the strongest participants sit at that level. The Law Manifestation Realm is a special boundary among the younger generation. Before entering the Divine Lord Realm, a cultivator still counts as part of the younger generation in most supreme forces. But once someone steps into the Divine Lord Realm, their status changes. They stop being treated as a young genius. They get the authority and standing of an elder, or at least a quasi-elder, depending on the force.”

Max understood right away. “So battle cultivation is capped at peak Law Manifestation Realm.”

“Yes,” Rose said. “The Bloodline Legacy Battle exists for descendants and representatives fighting for bloodline opportunities. It’s not built for elders. If Divine Lord Realm cultivators were allowed to join freely, the whole point of the battle would change. So most young genius battles stop at the peak of Law Manifestation Realm. Anyone who breaks through to the Divine Lord Realm usually steps away from this kind of competition and moves into the elder hierarchy.”

Max looked at Cassian Valerius again. Peak Law Manifestation Realm. That sat several levels above Max’s current position at Law Refinement Realm 6th level. But Max had never cared much about ordinary realm gaps.

During the Cosmic Ascension Conference, he’d fought and beaten monsters standing at the very top of the younger generation while he himself was still only at the peak of the Law Awakening Realm.

Now he’d entered the Law Refinement Realm, gained a Tier 4 Primarch Bloodline, and strengthened every part of his foundation.

Rose knew that too. That was exactly why she’d brought him.

Her gaze moved toward the Ashbourne platform next.

“The strongest genius of Ashbourne is Draven Ashbourne.”

Max looked over. On the black and crimson platform, a tall young man stood with his arms crossed. Unlike Cassian, he didn’t sit quietly like a noble heir. He stood out in plain view, wearing dark armor over a simple black battle robe.

His hair was dark red, and his eyes carried a cold brutality that made a lot of people instinctively look away after a moment. Several Ashbourne disciples kept a respectful distance from him, as if they didn’t dare stand too close unless called over.

Rose’s tone grew heavier. “Draven is called the Blood-Iron Demon of Ashbourne. The Ashbourne branch of the forbidden bloodline is famous for destructive physical power, blood refinement, and battle endurance.

Draven inherited all of that to a terrifying degree. He’s fought a lot of battles outside the public eye, and there are rumors that a few older peak Law Manifestation experts died at his hands even before he reached his current level.”

“Peak Law Manifestation Realm?” Max asked.

“Yes. But even among peak Law Manifestation Realm geniuses, he’s one of the most dangerous in direct combat. If Rakan Thorne from the War God Palace is a battle maniac with an overwhelming physique, Draven is something darker. He fights to break his opponent, not just beat them.”

Max’s eyes lingered on Draven for a moment. As if sensing the gaze, Draven Ashbourne turned slightly and looked straight at him. Their eyes met across the arena. Draven didn’t smile. Max didn’t look away.

After a few breaths, Draven’s lips curved faintly, but there was no warmth in it. It was the smile of someone who’d just found a target worth crushing.
