Summary
Song Yaoyao never expected to live long enough to worry about a future.
A weak heart had been part of her life for as long as she could remember, and by the time she reached nineteen, there were already too many things she would never get the chance to do. The strange part comes afterward.
Instead of disappearing, she wakes up somewhere else.
The name is still Song Yaoyao, but everything around her feels oddly familiar. The family, the school, the people she meets, even the problems waiting for her, none of them are new. She has seen them before while reading a novel during countless long hospital stays.
Unfortunately, she has not become the heroine.
She has landed in the role nobody wants.
The original Song Yaoyao spends most of her life being compared to her older sister and losing that comparison every single time. Whether it is family affection, friendships, reputation, or simple attention, there always seems to be someone standing between her and what she wants. By the end of the story, very few readers remember her for anything except bad luck.
Song Yaoyao remembers that ending.
She dislikes it.
Not because she dreams of becoming the center of the world, but because she already knows how precious a second chance can be.
Life is surprisingly different when you stop worrying about pleasing everyone around you. The people who once expected a quiet and obedient girl suddenly find themselves dealing with someone who asks uncomfortable questions, holds grudges longer than she probably should, and refuses to pretend that obvious nonsense makes sense.
Of course, knowing part of the story does not solve everything.
Real people rarely behave exactly like characters on a page. Some secrets appear earlier than expected, others never arrive at all, and more than once Song Yaoyao finds herself wondering whether the future she remembers is still the future she is heading toward.
Then there is the man she never paid much attention to while reading the novel.
Back then, he was little more than a name attached to a few chapters.
Now he is standing right in front of her.
Between wealthy families, old grievances, unexpected allies, and a plot that seems determined to wander off script, Song Yaoyao gradually discovers that surviving a story is much harder than reading one.
Especially when the story has started changing with her inside it.
