Summary
Su Yu’s engagement ends in the worst possible way, with a cheating fiancé, a public humiliation she would rather forget, and enough frustration to send her straight to the nearest bar.
The next morning only makes things worse.
Instead of waking up alone, she finds herself sharing a room with a complete stranger. Under normal circumstances, that would have been embarrassing enough. Unfortunately, the man refuses to treat it as a mistake and seems oddly determined to take responsibility for something neither of them planned.
Even more strangely, his proposed solution is marriage.
Su Yu is convinced she has encountered the most shameless man in the city. He has no impressive background, no obvious career worth mentioning, and an irritating habit of appearing whenever she least wants to see him. Yet no matter how often she rejects him, he keeps finding ways to stay involved in her life.
Against her better judgment, what begins as a reckless decision gradually turns into a legally binding relationship.
That should have been the end of the story.
Instead, it marks the beginning of a much larger problem.
The more time Su Yu spends around her new husband, the more inconsistencies she notices. Certain people treat him with unusual respect. Doors seem to open for him without explanation. Situations that should be difficult somehow resolve themselves before she can even worry about them.
For someone who claims to be ordinary, he is hiding an awful lot.
Caught between lingering heartbreak, unexpected affection, and a husband whose true situation remains suspiciously unclear, Su Yu slowly realizes that her impulsive marriage may not have been an accident at all.
The real question is whether she walked into a disaster, or into the best decision of her life.
