Capítulo 1960: Chapter 1959: Remorse Cliff, Former Site

“It’s impolite not to reciprocate,” said Xu Zimei.

He looked towards the mysterious existence hidden in the void.

The Tyrant Shadow Blade in his hand grew sharper, cleaving through heaven and earth, sweeping across everyone’s vision.

The Blade Qi vanished into the void along with that existence.

Soon, a scream echoed from within the void.

Then everything fell silent.

Xu Zimei leaned on his blade, surveying the vast expanse of the world.

With an imposing tone, he declared, “I know many people have their eyes on the inheritance I hold.

If you want it, come out, all of you.

Cowardly turtles, do you even deserve the Emperor Lu’s inheritance?

Even if you got it, it would be useless to you.”

His words held a hint of provocation, for although a fly is weak, it can still be annoying.

But these people were like turtles, living for countless years, shameless and brazen.

They knew Xu Zimei wasn’t weak; the existence before had suffered greatly.

It’s likely that none of them would dare to make a move for a while.

After taking care of those people, Xu Zimei turned around, only to find that the students of the All-Heaven Academy had disappeared.

Only Shu Yuheng from Nine Swords Mountain and Xin Laowu were hiding nearby.

“Friend, your strength is impressive,” Shu Yuheng commented.

“I suppose I unnecessarily tried to be a trailblazer.”

“You weren’t a trailblazer; you just don’t get along with the All-Heaven Academy and wanted to use my hand to gamble with them, without having anything to do with victory or defeat,” Xu Zimei said calmly.

He had already seen through it.

When Shu Yuheng stood up for him earlier, it wasn’t out of a sense of justice.

It was simply because of his own grievances.

“Friend, you’re overthinking it. May I ask your name?” Shu Yuheng inquired.

After all, the names of the strong are usually known far and wide.

Even the mightiest are famous throughout the Nine Domains.

“I’ve just arrived in the Robbery Immortal Domain. You wouldn’t know my name even if I told you,” Xu Zimei replied.

This also indicated that he wasn’t a native of the Robbery Immortal Domain and didn’t want to reveal his name.

After all, the name Xu Zimei had already been blacklisted by the Heavenly Dao and the Holy Court.

The wider the spread, the more it caused apprehension.

Without invincibility and before preparing for a Heaven Challenge, discretion was the better part of valor.

Making a small fuss was fine, but Xu Zimei didn’t want his name to spread across the entire Robbery Immortal Domain.

“It seems friend doesn’t want to engage with me, so I won’t disturb you,” Shu Yuheng said tactfully.

He smiled and added, “If you have the chance, friend, you’re welcome to visit our Nine Swords Mountain.”

After Shu Yuheng left, Xu Zimei beckoned Xin Laowu over.

“Continue leading the way!”

“Yes, my lord,” having witnessed Xu Zimei’s strength, Xin Laowu’s attitude was increasingly respectful.

He then asked, “Are you interested in observing some ancient ruins, or would you like to try the remaining inheritances?”

“If you have the ability, inheriting might yield good things.

Ancient ruins are all excavated and only for sightseeing.”

“Is there an Empress’s relic?” Xu Zimei asked casually.

He wasn’t interested in other people’s relics.

“Empress’s relics are rare, with only one located at the Remorse Cliff to the north,” Xin Laowu quickly replied.

“It’s said that place was where the Empress used to reflect.”

“Even someone as strong as the Empress needed to reflect?” Xu Zimei asked curiously.

“That’s why the Empress is truly admirable,” Xin Laowu said longingly.

“It’s a pity we weren’t born in the Empress’s era.

Remorse Cliff is a distance from here; we can ride a Dragon Colt.”

Since Victory City is so vast and flying is forbidden within,

It gave rise to a new profession—

Dragon Colts!

Riding a Dragon Colt allows you to reach various parts of the city in the shortest time.

Xu Zimei surveyed his surroundings.

These Dragon Colt businesses were everywhere, so he rented one as well.

The Dragon Colt resembled a horse but had a head similar to a dragon, hence the name Dragon Colt.

Sitting astride, Xu Zimei raced through the scenery at impressive speed.

Within an hour, the two reached Remorse Cliff.

The cliff was not in a bustling area but nestled in a forest.

Although Victory City was unimaginably vast, not every space was inhabited.

For instance, areas around relics were off-limits for residence.

This forest wasn’t large; it existed to protect Remorse Cliff.

People once came to Remorse Cliff to reminisce about the Empress’s grace.

But ever since the Empress became a forbidden figure, fewer people ventured here.

When Xu Zimei arrived, he found the vast forest surprisingly empty.

Xin Laowu explained with a smile, “People today are only interested in relics with inheritances.

Old sites like this have become mere exhibits.”

“The fewer people, the quieter it is,” Xu Zimei remarked.

The two ventured into the forest, where the trees were immensely tall, each requiring several people to embrace circumference.

Many tree trunks had been hollowed out, serving as homes for small animals.

Upon seeing visitors, these animals, seemingly timid, all hid inside the hollows.

“My lord, you previously killed one of the seven Heavenly Kings of the Acacia cult; you should still exercise caution,” Xin Laowu advised as they walked.

“What seven Heavenly Kings?” Xu Zimei asked, surprised.

“Those leaders of the Acacia cult in the city before,” Xin Laowu replied.

“They were too weak,” Xu Zimei shook his head.

Such people weren’t even worth remembering his name.

“You are indeed strong, but you should still be wary of schemers.

After all, the Acacia cult is one of the Nine Great Sovereigns in Eastward City; it’s not as simple as it seems.”

“How does the Acacia cult compare to the Holy Court?” Xu Zimei inquired.

Xin Laowu chuckled and said, “You’re teasing me, my lord.

“Though my perspective is limited, I understand what the Holy Court represents.”

“Well then, I’m not afraid of the Holy Court. What of the Acacia cult?” Xu Zimei said.

Not to mention the strongest among the Nine Great Sovereigns; even a Three Corpses Strong One, as long as they hadn’t attained Enlightenment, Xu Zimei could still defend himself.

After all, he had already awakened his current self of the Three Corpses.

He was now working hard to open up his future self.

As they proceeded through the forest, they reached a point where the road ended, arriving at a cliff.

In front, a sign stood upright.

On it, two large characters, “Remorse,” were engraved.

Below was a line of small script.

“Even saints can err; when a saint errs, it affects all people. A saint should ensure people’s safety with their being.

Words of caution, act with prudence, as if treading on thin ice.”

“Did the Empress leave this?” Xu Zimei asked, surprised.

It was evident that despite the Empress’s invincible power, she often reminded herself.

When a saint is enraged, the entire world feels the impact.

Thus, a saint should speak cautiously and act prudently.

Xin Laowu nodded and smiled, “The Empress was a true strong one.

No matter her strength, at the very least her virtue was extraordinary.”

Xu Zimei continued onward, noticing symbols beginning to appear on the ground.

These symbols were unordered, unlike any he had seen before.

“Countless people have studied these symbols, yet there’s still no answer,” Xin Laowu explained.

“The Empress wouldn’t leave things carelessly; you can take a look, my lord.”
