Capítulo 1957: Chapter 1956: Battling Malice Qi and Enlightening Divine Powers at a Glance
“The so-called predestined person is one who is qualified to wield the Fortune True Sword and thereby eradicate the Malice Qi.”
Only the golden figure in the void continued to speak.
“Of course, I won’t let you kill it for nothing.
You will receive the inheritance of my lifetime.
Regardless, may the successor be blessed with fortune.”
As the last words fell, the golden figure in the void suddenly dissipated.
The scattered golden light began to condense again.
Finally, it formed into a golden greatsword.
This was an incredibly wide greatsword, the entire blade formed by the Power of Fortune.
Holding this Fortune True Sword, it was as if the world’s entire fortune was bestowed upon oneself.
Xu Zimei pondered.
Perhaps the so-called person of fortune is a symbol of strength.
One is chosen because they are strong.
Yet, this poses a question, the Fortune True Well has been in Victory City for so many years.
How could it be possible that there are no powerful beings here?
Why have those powerful beings not eradicated the Malice Qi?
These are doubts.
Xu Zimei was somewhat interested in the inheritance of the Fortune True Saint, as it relates to fortune.
It is said that heaven has special care for those blessed with fortune.
Whether this is true or not remains unknown.
Moreover, the Fortune True Saint does not force others but gives you the opportunity to choose.
Before him, apart from the Fortune True Sword, darkness was dispelled, and a great path appeared.
The path was also paved with the Power of Fortune.
It is evident that the Fortune True Saint had cultivated the Path of Fortune to a masterful level, almost reaching the peak.
Otherwise, there could not be so much Power of Fortune.
Xu Zimei surveyed his surroundings. He did not rashly grab the Fortune True Sword but instead followed the golden path, walking inside.
He wanted to see if there was any Malice Qi left.
Perhaps he could communicate, or it would be just a mindless killing machine.
Following the golden path, Xu Zimei gradually saw some chains.
These chains were likely meant to restrain the Malice Qi.
When he reached the end, Xu Zimei was taken aback.
Because at the end, there was nothing, empty and desolate.
He carefully picked up a few iron chains to look closely, it seemed that there had once been something here, but the chains had been severed, and whatever was inside had been released.
This left Xu Zimei somewhat surprised.
It seems someone got ahead.
But who would free the Malice Qi of the Fortune True Saint, and also manage to conceal it thoroughly, with no message spreading?
Xu Zimei felt that these matters were unrelated to him, just as he was about to leave, a disturbance arose again in the void.
Suddenly, a black shadow attacked without any warning.
The speed of this shadow was extremely fast, directly charging at Xu Zimei’s face, carrying with it disgusting spittle flying all around.
Not knowing what kind of creature it was, Xu Zimei directly punched it away.
The shadow had amazing defenses; the impact felt soft, like rubber.
Dissipating much of the force.
Xu Zimei fixed his gaze and finally discovered the true form of the shadow.
The shadow had no body; it was like a puddle of effectively enlarged saliva, its body an amorphous liquid.
Yet this puddle was not clean, internally filthy and horribly stinky.
The most notable aspect was, the shadow had a face.
This face was incredibly ugly, estimating that a child would cry just upon seeing it.
“What is this, could it be the Malice Qi?” Xu Zimei sensed subtly and found it odd.
The strength of the shadow was not particularly strong, presumably it wasn’t the Malice Qi.
He beckoned with his right hand, and the Tyrant Shadow appeared in his hand, the powerful Blade Qi splitting open, directly striking the shadow.
The shadow shrieked, sliced into several pieces, yet quickly restored again.
“Such peculiar power, continuously recovering,” Xu Zimei murmured to himself.
Beside him, he attempted to pick up the severed chains, they were forged from the Power of Fortune.
Although not comparable to the Fortune True Sword, they possessed some offensive power.
The shadow seemed to encounter its nemesis, upon seeing the chains, it screamed and tried to flee.
“Where are you going,” Xu Zimei tossed the chain directly.
With a “bang.”
One end of the chain bound the shadow, the Power of Fortune rapidly dissolving the opponent.
Like a blazing fire melting away snow.
The speed was swift, the shadow’s body significantly shrank.
Seeing the shadow on the brink of vanishing, Xu Zimei abruptly sensed a pressure.
He lifted his head to see a pair of black eyes reflecting in the darkness, observing him intently.
Before Xu Zimei could act, the suspended Fortune True Sword had already unleashed strong powers, attempting to autonomously eradicate those eyes.
The black eyes, aware of the impending danger, vanished immediately.
“The two forces were very similar; the black eyes were likely the true Malice Qi.
And the shadow was merely a small part of the Malice Qi,” Xu Zimei speculated.
Moreover, he believed that his speculation was correct.
“I didn’t originally intend to involve myself, but having been targeted, there’s no choice,” Xu Zimei muttered.
He approached the Fortune True Sword; it did not resist, and he grasped it directly in his hand.
The Power of Fortune should counteract the Malice Qi, Xu Zimei decided to put it away first.
Once the Fortune True Sword was stored away, the Power of Fortune in the void also disappeared without a trace.
Immediately, the world before Xu Zimei began to collapse, his vision shifted, and he returned to the side of the Ancient Well of Fortune.
“Guest, are you alright?” Xin Laowu asked with concern.
“This well is indeed interesting,” Xu Zimei shook his head, smiling.
“Certainly, just now there were continuous unusual phenomena over the well, I thought some Heaven Shaking treasure had appeared.
But in the end, nothing did,” Xin Laowu sighed.
“The guest need not be disheartened, the fortune’s predestination is unpredictable.”
Xu Zimei merely smiled without responding.
Little did they know, the best treasure, the Fortune True Sword, was already in his possession.
“Let’s go and see the Sorrowful Heaven Buddha,” Xin Laowu comforted.
“Perhaps the guest has remarkable insight and can master this Form God technique.”
Xu Zimei approached the statue and noticed that its popularity was far greater.
Those coming to learn the technique formed nearly a long queue.
He saw many people sitting cross-legged in front of the enormous statue.
Some looked at the statue’s head, others at its hands; in general, observing different body parts.
Hoping to grasp the secrets of the statue’s technique.
“Currently, there are many people. The guest can comprehend from afar first, then we’ll approach closely,” Xin Laowu said.
“What is there to comprehend,” Xu Zimei immediately saw through the statue’s mysteries.
“The so-called divine technique, grasping the great momentum of heaven and earth, is apparent at a glance.”
As Xu Zimei’s words landed, before Xin Laowu could praise him, a voice nearby rang out.
“Arrogant.”
