Summary
These days, becoming a player of God’s Path is basically the fastest way to change your life…in this novel that is.
Only a limited number of people are selected every month, and once someone gets in, they gain access to abilities that ordinary people can only watch on television. Some become famous overnight. Others make fortunes hunting monsters and clearing dungeons. Schools teach it, companies invest in it, and every teenager dreams about receiving an invitation.
Ling Yi gets his chance like everyone else.
The difference is that his account seems slightly broken.
While other players spend weeks deciding which skill to learn or which item deserves their resources, Ling Yi discovers that almost everything he touches can become something else entirely. A mediocre reward can suddenly become useful. An ability nobody cares about can end up doing things it was clearly never designed to do.
At first he assumes he’s misunderstanding the system.
Then the strange results keep appearing.
The funny part is that many of his strongest abilities don’t look impressive when he first obtains them. If someone else received the same rewards, they would probably throw them into storage and forget about them. Ling Yi does the opposite. He upgrades them, experiments with them, and occasionally creates something so unreasonable that even he needs a moment to stare at the description.
God’s Path already has enough monsters, rankings, competitions, and ambitious players trying to climb to the top. Ling Yi adds another problem to the list.
Nobody can figure out how he keeps getting stronger.
Some players think he’s hiding a rare class. Others believe he discovered a secret mechanic. Entire discussions appear online whenever he breaks another record.
Meanwhile, Ling Yi is usually focused on something much simpler.
Finding the next thing he can mutate.
Because experience has taught him one lesson.
If an item looks ordinary today, there is a decent chance it won’t stay that way for long.
