Summary
Jiang Yu already knows how her story is supposed to end, and honestly, it’s a terrible one.
After waking up inside the world of a novel she recognizes, she realizes she has become the “real daughter” of the wealthy Jiang family, a side character written purely for humiliation and heartbreak. In the original plot, Jiang Yu spends her entire life trying to earn affection from relatives who never truly wanted her back, only to get manipulated, blamed, and eventually discarded once she outlives her usefulness.
The worst part is that everyone around her already seems to believe the role written for her.
The country girl returned from nowhere, awkward, uncultured, embarrassing to bring into high society.
Meanwhile, Jiang Wan, the elegant and gentle adopted daughter raised by the Jiang family, remains the center of attention no matter where she goes. The original Jiang Yu trusted her completely, trusted her enough to reveal things that should never have been shared, and paid for it dearly later.
The new Jiang Yu has absolutely no intention of repeating that mistake.
Unlike the timid girl from the novel, this version speaks bluntly, holds grudges properly, and reacts to disrespect with a level of aggression that catches the entire Jiang family off guard. The brothers who once ignored or looked down on her quickly realize something is wrong when the supposedly weak sister they expected to control starts pushing back without hesitation.
And strangely enough… the more she refuses to chase their approval, the more their attitudes begin changing.
The cold eldest brother known for treating people like business transactions suddenly becomes irrational whenever someone insults her. A medical genius with almost no patience for others starts openly protecting her. Even the younger brother famous for causing trouble everywhere develops an almost embarrassing level of loyalty toward her.
Jiang Yu finds the whole situation mildly suspicious.
Because she remembers how these people behaved in the original story.
Still, family drama stops being her only problem once another person enters her life, a man whose reputation alone makes others nervous. Calm, dangerous, impossible to read properly, he seems far too interested in her from the beginning. Unlike everyone else, he notices the changes in her almost immediately.
And somehow, that feels more dangerous than the original plot itself.
Behind the comedy, arguments, and overprotective sibling chaos, Jiang Yu slowly begins realizing that changing her fate may not be as simple as avoiding betrayal this time around, especially when emotions start becoming real in a story that was never supposed to revolve around her in the first place.
