Summary
Fei never had much going for him. He was just another university student trying to stay afloat, carrying more debt than hope, until an accident ended the life he knew. When he opened his eyes again, he was no longer on Earth. Instead, he found himself wearing a crown that nobody seemed eager to respect, inside the body of Alexander, the young king of Chambord, a tiny kingdom whose ruler had spent years being mocked as a fool.
Unfortunately, the timing could not have been worse. Chambord was already surrounded by enemy forces, the castle gates were close to breaking, and defeat looked inevitable. The people defending the kingdom had little faith in the king they were risking their lives for, because the Alexander they knew had never shown the courage or ability expected from a ruler. Fei barely has time to understand where he is before soldiers begin looking to him for decisions that could determine whether the kingdom survives another day.
Trying to act like a king proves harder than expected. Every noble seems to have their own plans, every conversation feels like a test, and every mistake risks exposing that the person sitting on the throne is no longer the same Alexander. Even so, Fei has no interest in hiding behind others. He makes mistakes, argues when necessary, and prefers dealing with problems head-on rather than pretending they do not exist. Slowly, the people around him begin noticing that their king has changed, though none of them can explain why.
His biggest secret is one he cannot share with anyone. Not long after arriving, Fei discovers that he can enter a place connected to the world of *Diablo*, complete with monsters, equipment, skills, and character classes. The strength he gains there can be brought back into reality, giving him an advantage nobody else could possibly understand. It sounds like the answer to all his problems, but surviving inside that world is just as dangerous as surviving outside it.
With enemies pressing against Chambord’s borders and larger kingdoms watching from a distance, Fei has little time to enjoy his unexpected fortune. Every victory earns him another problem, every new ally comes with unanswered questions, and the kingdom he never asked to rule slowly becomes something worth protecting. What begins as an attempt to stay alive gradually turns into a fight for a place that no longer feels borrowed.
