Summary
Wang Ye’s plans for life never included waking up in another world, especially one where a person’s future is tied to the beast they contract.
Here, Beastmasters are everywhere. Powerful pets can earn fame, wealth, and opportunities that ordinary people never see, while weak ones are often dismissed before they even have a chance to grow. Unfortunately, Wang Ye’s first contracted beast happens to be a green sparrow, the kind of pet most people wouldn’t look at twice.
That would be disappointing enough on its own, but Wang Ye isn’t exactly starting from a good position either. He has no influential family backing him, no impressive resources, and no clear path toward the elite institutions that produce the world’s strongest Beastmasters. Compared to the young geniuses constantly making headlines, he barely feels like a participant in the same game.
Things begin to change after he discovers a strange ability unlike anything he has ever heard of.
By using it, Wang Ye can observe possible futures connected to his pet, watching different choices lead to completely different outcomes. Some paths end quickly. Others reveal possibilities that shouldn’t exist for a bird that everyone considers ordinary. The more he experiments, the harder it becomes to tell where luck ends and something far stranger begins.
Meanwhile, the world itself is far larger than it first appears. Reports of unusual disasters continue to surface, mysterious creatures appear in places they shouldn’t, and certain evolutionary records seem to raise more questions than answers.
While others chase famous bloodlines and rare beasts, Wang Ye finds himself investing everything into a companion nobody believes in. Whether that decision turns out to be brilliant or completely foolish remains to be seen, but one thing becomes clear very quickly:
the little green sparrow may not be as ordinary as it looks.
